The Republican senator said he will not contest the November 3 results despite a disputed ballot strategy by his Democratic rival.

Alaska Republican Senator Dan Sullivan will accept the results of his November 3 election. He made the declaration during a morning interview with CNN, confirming he will not dispute the final tally.
The decision follows a New York Times investigation that revealed a complex strategy within the campaign of Democratic challenger Mary Peltola. Aides recruited a different man named Dan Sullivan to join the race. The goal was to split the Republican vote by placing a second candidate with the same name on the ballot.
Since the scheme became public, national Republican figures have demanded action. Donald Trump and other party leaders called for Peltola to be disqualified or prosecuted. Peltola has maintained she did not know about the plan. She told a reporter at a recent event that she had “no idea” if her staff were involved.
Sullivan addressed the controversy directly with CNN anchor Jake Tapper. Tapper asked if Sullivan would only accept the results if he won. Sullivan replied, “No, I’m going to accept the election results.” He added that he is focused on winning outright rather than managing legal challenges.
Despite his decision to accept the outcome, Sullivan remains skeptical of his opponent’s account. He stated, “She’s continually lying to the Alaskan people.” He continued, “And I guarantee you, she’s lying right now.”
A separate Washington Post report indicated that Republican groups also intervened in the Alaska primaries. A Super PAC funded two unviable Democratic Senate candidates who did not live in the state. The group promoted them as progressives similar to Bernie Sanders.
