Jay-Z will take the stage at SoFi Stadium on February 14, 2027, for the Super Bowl halftime show. The decision marks his first solo headline performance for the event. He selected himself as the lead act, a choice that leaves the door open for special guests while keeping the focus on his own catalog.

Roc Nation, the company Jay-Z co-founded, has produced the NFL halftime show since 2019. As a partner in that production deal, Jay-Z holds the final say on who performs. While the host artist is now set, the teams playing in the championship game remain unknown until the end of January 2027.

Beyonce is the most likely candidate for a guest spot. The two have been married since 2018 and have collaborated on hits including "Crazy in Love" and "Drunk in Love." They are accustomed to sharing a stage, having toured together previously. Beyonce has a strong history with the NFL, performing at halftime in 2016 alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. She also sang the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2001 and headlined a halftime performance in Houston on Christmas Day 2024.

Rihanna is another strong possibility. Jay-Z played a key role in her early career, helping to launch her as the head of Def Jam Records. She moved to Roc Nation in 2010, cementing a professional bond that extends beyond music. The two have recorded songs together, such as "Umbrella" and "Run This Town." Rihanna appeared as a surprise guest on Jay-Z's tour at Yankee Stadium earlier this year. She previously headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2023, where she announced her pregnancy to the audience.

Jay-Z and Beyonce's daughter, Blu Ivy Carter, is also on the shortlist. She performed as a dancer during her mother's 2024 halftime show in Houston and joined the Cowboy Carter tour in the same capacity. Her presence on stage would add a familial element to the performance. She frequently attends NFL games with her father, making an on-stage appearance a logical step for a fanbase that already cheers for her at concerts.

Eminem rounds out the group of artists linked to the show. He joined Jay-Z on stage during the rapper's current tour. The two collaborated on the track "Renegade" for Jay-Z's album The Blueprint. Eminem has experience performing at the Super Bowl, serving as a special guest on the hip-hop lineup during the 2022 halftime show.

No official guest announcements have been made yet. The NFL and Roc Nation have not released a schedule for the performance. The halftime show will occur during the 2027 Super Bowl season, with the specific game date set for mid-February.

Jay-Z’s confirmation ends the speculation regarding the main headliner for the 2027 event. The production team will now focus on designing the set and sound for the 14-minute slot. The choice of guests, if any, will likely be revealed closer to the game date.
