The Detroit Pistons entered Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets looking to extend a recent winning streak. They left the Spectrum Center with a 124-91 victory, their third straight win.

Cade Cunningham led the offense with a season-high 33 points. He shot 13 of 20 from the floor and recorded seven assists, five steals, and five rebounds. Cunningham sat out the entire fourth quarter.

Duncan Robinson provided offensive depth with 24 points, including six three-pointers. The Pistons built a 98-75 lead by the end of the third quarter after making 13 of their first 24 attempts from beyond the arc. Kevin Huerter and Robinson hit consecutive threes in the fourth to push the margin to 29 points. Hornets head coach Charles Lee emptied his bench near the end of the game.

Charlotte struggled to find rhythm despite the season debut of Coby White. White, who missed the first seven games with a calf strain, scored seven points on 3-of-8 shooting in 16 minutes. Lee stated that White will remain on a minutes restriction for the foreseeable future. The coach also said that guard Kon Knueppel is expected to return soon. Knueppel led the league in three-pointers last season and finished second in voting for NBA rookie of the year.

Brandon Miller scored 17 points for Charlotte. Naz Reid added 13. The Pistons will host Philadelphia on Wednesday. The Hornets will play at Brooklyn on the same night.
