Police are searching for a man who burglarized two convenience stores in Oconee County, South Carolina.

Deputies responded to the Countryside #2 store on West-Oak Highway near Highway 59 in the early hours of Thursday. They determined a white male entered the shop after breaking the front glass door. The suspect wore a grey hoodie, black athletic shorts, and neon green gloves. He used an object to shatter the glass and walked inside. He took items from the vape and kratom sections. He then left the building and drove away toward Townville in a dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Investigators linked the same individual to a second incident at the Countryside #1 store in the Tokeena Crossroads area. The break-in at the first location occurred earlier that same morning. Deputies identified the suspect based on evidence collected during the investigation.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify the person of interest. Individuals with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-844-71-CRIME. They can also submit tips online at 71crime.com or through the free P3 mobile app. Those who provide leads leading to an arrest are eligible for an award.

The investigation remains open as deputies continue to gather evidence from the two Tokeena Crossroads locations.
