Asheville Yards plans to host its Holiday Ice Rink in downtown Asheville for the 2026-27 season. The facility will operate from November 20, 2026, through January 18, 2027. This schedule adds one extra week of skating compared to the previous year.
The rink opened in the prior winter season and served as a central gathering spot for residents. Sean O’Connell of Asheville Yards noted the community response in a press release. He said, “One of the best parts of last winter was watching people enjoy themselves on the ice.” O’Connell added that seeing families and friends on the skates reminded the team why they brought the rink to the area. He observed that residents wanted more activities in town and embraced the facility.
The venue is located at 75 Coxe Avenue in Asheville. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, November 24, at 4 p.m. to mark the start of the season. The rink will be open Tuesday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, hours will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Tickets cost $15 on weekdays and $20 on weekends and holidays. Each purchase includes skate rental and grants access to a 70-minute session. Tickets are required for entry. The operator recommends buying online in advance because capacity is limited. School groups and nonprofits can book weekday afternoon sessions. The space is also available for holiday parties and company events.
