The Carolinas will remain largely dry through Thursday, missing a chance to close the gap in their ongoing rainfall deficit. Skies are expected to stay clear tonight, with temperatures falling into the upper 40s by dawn.

Tuesday will bring sunshine and passing clouds, with afternoon highs reaching the mid-70s. This marks a slight warming trend compared to typical early November readings. The dry conditions will persist through the start of Wednesday as clouds begin to build.

A weather system approaching the region offers the best window for precipitation from late Wednesday into Thursday. Forecasters describe the rain as scattered rather than widespread. Some neighborhoods may experience brief downpours, but the coverage will be uneven.

The midweek moisture will not be sufficient to offset the region's current rainfall shortage. The overall pattern for the rest of the workweek remains quiet. No major storm systems are tracking through the area during this period.

The lack of consistent rain continues to strain local water resources. Residents should expect pleasant evenings before the temperature drop overnight. The next opportunity for substantial precipitation remains further out in the forecast.
